Our History & Background

Emico’s history and background Per Augusto Florindez Sr., founding the company back in 1980, his goal was to provide equipment to small scale bakeries.  At that time, Augusto envisioned many key equipment in the baking industry to help provide the best efficiency and ease of maintaining equipment.  Having the responsibility in constructing bakeries, as well as, modifying key equipment to run, he turned to designing new equipment to further enhance the efficiency of the products runned.

Faced with the rising challenges and levels of the business, Augusto began to look at developing the first of many number of bakery equipment to enhance the operation of the baking industry.  One such breakthrough was the design of the first rolling indexing UHMW cam roller to time the doughballs into an overhead intermediate dry proofer tray.  This simple, yet sanitary designed piece of equipment increased the efficiency and decreased the yields in the production line.  This piece of equipment was the first of many patented new equipment developed for the baking industry.

In 1983, Emico, Inc., was formed to provide the baking industry a knowledgeable and experienced based manufacturer of fine bakery equipment.  Since then, the company has focused its strategy on becoming the leader in design technology to the baking industry, and it has developed a number of sophisticated, robust user-friendly machines and applications. All of the company’s manufactured equipment is based to improve our customers’ profitability, productivity, and ease of use.  With a combined experience of over 40 years in the baking industry, it is hard not to provide a great quality product to our valued customers.
